Clear Aligners

Clear Aligners are an alternative to traditional braces. We use clear aligners for easy to moderate cases, not complex cases.

It is a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them, each aligner moving your teeth just a little bit at a time.

They're practically invisible, so most people won't even know you're in treatment; they fit you perfectly, so they're more comfortable than regular braces, and they're removable, so you can eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.

Your 1st appointment

The doctor will consult you to evaluate if you are a candidate for clear aligners or if traditional braces will be a better option. We also want to listen and understand your desires and concerns about your dental care. Only then will we be able to provide you with the excellent care you deserve. The cost for this appointment will be R705.

While we can often answer general questions about treatment during the initial examination, we can address specific areas only after careful analysis of the diagnostic records. We feel it is important to analyse each patient’s specific needs because in-depth planning leads to superior results and higher patient satisfaction.

Your 2nd appointment (orthodontic records)

If the preliminary appointment points to a need for treatment and you feel ready, a complete examination of your face, jaws and teeth is done with the aid of X-rays, photos and impressions. The estimated cost for this appointment will be R3994.

Report

You will receive an email within 2 weeks after the 2nd appointment containing the report and payment contract. If you wish to continue, the contract needs to be signed, and we will start with the fabrication of the aligners. Fabrication and shipping of the aligners take about 3 weeks.

General cost estimates for 2026

• Upper and lower R45 000 - R55 000 (depending on severity)
• Upper or lower +/- R25 000 - R40 000 (depending on severity)
• 50 - 70 % deposit, with the rest of the amount to be paid off monthly for 6 - 10 months (depending on severity and duration of treatment) via a debit order instruction/ credit card authority.
• Costs of general dentistry (e.g., removal of teeth, fillings, and cleaning of teeth) before starting orthodontic treatment or after are excluded.

Orthodontic treatments are provided by general dentists and not specialist orthodontists.
